Outsourcing decision
Outsourcing decision is a version of make-or-buy decision in which one organization choses to purchase an item or an service that previously was made or performed in-house. This decision is a complex one because of uncertainties. The choice of whether to use in-house/in-sourcing or outsourcing has a direct impact on the economic and social well-being of the community (if this is a public enterprise) and the success or failure of the organization (if it is a private company).
INDUSTRY
This industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in providing a combination of services to support operations within a client's facilities. These establishments typically provide a combination of services, such as:
janitorial;
maintenance;
trash disposal;
guard and security;
mail routing and other logistical support;
Reception;
laundry;
and related services,
to support operations within facilities.
They provide operating staff to carry out these support activities, but are not involved with, or responsible for, the core business or activities of the client.
